What is this all about?

My name is Matt Rosenzweig and I have worked as a personal trainer and health/fitness/lifestyle consultant for the past five years. I have sustained a successful business doing 1,000+ personal training sessions per year and am in the trenches every day. More importantly, my clients get results and I want to share how they get that done.

The health and fitness industry is a weird place with a lot of different types of people who use a number of strategies to accomplish the same goals. It can be confusing and my aim with this is to clear up as much as I can by sharing practical insights on what works and doesn’t work from my experience with my clients.

What are you going to get here?

  1. For people looking to get healthier and feel better: What you read here will be practical and can be immediately implemented. I tend to address a number of the same questions from clients day in and day out and this will be a place to document what is actually going on in the trenches.

  2. General content: I am a firm believer that you need to understand the incentives of others when trying to understand what they are after. For example, the incentive for me to write this newsletter is to expand my reach, help more people, and add another income stream. Individuals looking for trainers should understand that trainers incentives. I want to help educate people on what to look for when seeking health advice and how to weed out harmful information. This goes for both professionals and and non-professionals.

  3. Deep dive: Every now and then I will go deep on a topic. Feel free to request one, or I will choose as I deem appropriate.

I am hoping that putting all of this content together I can create a more honest conversation about what it takes to get healthier, make more informed decisions, and run a more successful and honest business.

For now, this is free. In the future I plan to make some of this paid. I will make sure that when the time comes it is clear what you will get if you opt to pay for a subscription.
